Little Boots

"I wanna take you out tonight. I wanna make you feel alright. I don't have a lot of money but we'll be fine. No I don't have a penny but I'll show you a real good time."

This is exactly how I feel right now. I really really wanna go see School of Seven Bells tonight...but I just don't have any money. And unlike Little Boots, I sorta feel like money is important to have a good night, no?

Move over Myspace, Little Boots launched her career by documenting her bedroom music making via YouTube and quickly became the most subscribed artist profile in the UK. Her music is pop, her influence is disco and her future is probably going to be pretty massive. Her stuff sort of sounds like Lily Allen on crack...oh wait. No seriously, she has cute and honest lyrics with an appealing electronic pop backdrop. Her debut album Hands is set to hit on June 12, and seeing as Hot Chip's Joe Goddard and Greg Kurstin are producing...it's pretty safe to say that its going to be worth a listen. Maybe even two. Check out one of her many YouTube videos below...this one is a cover of Hot Chip's Ready For the Floor, in which Little Boots shows she has an awesome live voice and some pretty hectic skills on the 'ol Tenori-0n.
